Dr. Shannon Clarahan graduated from SABA University School of Medicine in 2016, where in
addition to her MD she obtained a M.Sc in Hyperbaric Medicine. Dr. Clarahan went on to
complete her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Alberta in 2020, followed by a
residency in Pain Medicine at the University of Calgary, completed in 2022.
Dr. Clarahan has an interest in complex chronic pain syndromes, as well as complex chronic
disease. She is passionate about helping patients suffering from complex chronic pain
pathologies. She has additional interests in transitional pain medicine and optimization of
vulnerable transitional pain patients.
