Sam completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Linguistics at the University of Victoria before moving to Edmonton in 2014 to pursue a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Sam is passionate about working with children and their families on all aspects of communication and strives to help them realize their full potential. She finds tremendous value in incorporating play-based intervention techniques into therapy by using the child’s interests and motivations. Sam is always seeking ways to expand her knowledge and expertise and has taken many workshops and courses to ensure that she is up-to-date with evidence-based practices.
When away from her work life, Sam spends as much time as she can with her friends and family. She particularly enjoys yoga, spin, painting and traveling – especially back to her hometown on Vancouver Island.
